Borgo antico veramente bello, ricco di scorci da cartolina, viuzze strette con archi e scalinate. Molto piacevole passeggiare in un luogo dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato.

Abbiamo potuto apprezzare il centro storico camminando nei suoi vicoli, gli scorci che danno sul mare. In una delle piazzette più panoramiche del centro storico abbiamo anche visitato il museo dentro la torre Cimalonga. Una piccola perla da vedere almeno una volta se siete di passaggio.

Bellissimo centro storico di Scalea ma soprattutto è bellissima la storia, abbiamo potuto vedere le case arroccate sul promontorio come la Torre Cimalonga, la chiesa di S. Maria d' Episcopio e la Torre Talao.
Poi Franco la guida di Torre Talao ci ha saputo raccontare la storia di Scalea in modo esemplare.
Assolutamente consigliata la visita.

Bellissimo paesino medievale (centro storico) di mare nel cosentino. Anche la parte nuova è molto carina con le case arroccate sul promontorio della cittadina non lontane dal centro storico. Da vedere sicuramente è la chiesa di S. Maria d' Episcopio, Torre Talao, la Torre Cimalonga ed il centro storico tutto.

Da anni andiamo in vacanza a San Nicola Arcella, mai eravamo andati al centro storico di Scalea. È stata una vera scoperta, il borgo è molto suggestivo è faticoso perché per visitarlo ci sono tante scale da percorrere, ma ne vale la pena.
Ci sono anche dei locali dove potersi fermare a bere qualcosa oppure a mangiare come la Trattoria A Taverna dove si mangiano tutti piatti tradizionali Calabresi.
